I wish I could say that my husband and I have an extraordinary love story— one that would make all k-drama fans shrivel in jealousy. But we don’t. Our relationship is founded in love, commitment, respect, and honesty. And I wouldn't change it in anyway.
Husband and I met several years ago during our freshman year of college. I lived in a dingy, old apartment in a college town with a couple of friends. Looking back, I find it amusing that I survived. Together, my roommates and I could barely pool enough money to pay the bills, but we did. And we celebrated our newly discovered independence in a way that only poor college students can.
Coincidence or fate, my husband lived in the same dingy, old apartment that I did. He was rooming with his cousins. Naturally, we all flowed into the same social circles. From the moment we met, my husband and I just clicked. We’ve been together ever since. He is my best friend, my confidant, my rock, my other half.
After several years together, we finally got hitched earlier this year (to everyone's relief). You know those couples that date for years and years, but eventually drift apart? Our friends and families began to worry that we would end up being one of those couples. However, we knew otherwise. We just wanted to wait for the right time. And we were correct to wait: marriage life with him is pretty sweet right now. :)
